It’s February already…where did January go? By now you should be nicely tucked into your marketing plan and now concentrating on the best big calendar event which is Valentines day. If you’re not, don’t panic, you still have time if you act now.
Marketing plans can seem like such a daunting task with a million and one questions racing around in your head. – What is marketing plan? – How will my business benefit from a marketing plan? – Where do I start? – What do I do first? – What should I focus on? – Do I concentrate on social media? – I can’t afford to advertise in magazines and newspaper. – How much do I spend on marketing?
Ahhh…sooo daunting, but you can’t avoid it. Being one step ahead of the game really will make a difference to your salon business. And best of all it doesn’t have to be costly at all. If you are completely new to marketing then start small and work your way up. Don’t try to do everything at once and spread yourself across 10 different marketing platforms. Choose 1 or 2 marketing tools. For example you could choose to build your Facebook business page and send an e-blast every 2 weeks to your client database.
See? Putting it like this makes it not seem so bad, right? Now you need to decide on what you want to say. What message do you want to get out to your salon clients? Once you have this written you can then go ahead and post or create your email. It really couldn’t be easier. Concentrate on breaking down these huge projects into little segments and work your way through them.
