We’ve now hit September, how has that happened? So the nights will be drawing in and preparation will very soon be starting for Christmas.  I’m starting this post with some pretty interesting facts about SMS, considering the first text message said “Merry Christmas” and was only send on 3rd December 1992 – given the choice I’m sure many would choose not to live without them.

    One of the biggest problems for many salons is clients not turning up for their appointments. A great way to reduce the number of no shows is manually making calls or sending out emails, however this can take up a lot of time.  To eliminate the amount of time spent contacting clients, salons has seem great results in sending automated appointment reminders by SMS. Here is an example of an SMS sent from a salon to a client;

    “Your appointment at GREAT Hairdressing {MERGEFIELD SalonName} {MERGEFIELD SalonPhone} is on {MERGEFIELD BookingDate} at {MERGEFIELD BookingTime}. Please reply ‘yes’ to confirm”

    We recommend sending and SMS appointment reminder to your clients 2 days before they are due in.

Call us on {MERGEFIELD SalonPhone} to book” “Have you booked your hair appointment?” “Have you booked your beauty treats yet? Call {MERGEFIELD SalonPhone} to make your appointment ” “Last few appointments remaining this week, call us now to book {MERGEFIELD SalonPhone}” “We would love to see you in the salon. To make an appointment call {MERGEFIELD SalonPhone}” “Are you in need of some ‘you’ time? If you are we are ready for you. Call {MERGEFIELD SalonPhone} to make your booking” “Back to School this week, so it’s Pamper Time. Call now to book your appointment {MERGEFIELD SalonPhone}”
