Inside SalonIQ

Building your client selection

Follow these six steps inside SalonIQ to pull the right client group before you send.

Go to Intelligent Marketing
From the main menu navigate to Intelligent Marketing, then Client Selection, select Add Selection and choose Blank Template.

Name and filter
Give your campaign a name. Use the client filters on the right - select Last Visit, choose your date range and set to more than 4 or 8 weeks. Save.

Add service filter
Add a Had Service filter and select the relevant category for your sector, for example Colour or Waxing. Select No Future Bookings, then Save and Get Client Count.

Review and select SMS Blast
Check the client count before proceeding. Too large? Tighten the filter. Too small? Widen the date range. When happy, press the SMS Blast button.

Create your message
Select Choose Template and pick the relevant template for this month, for example June 26 Hair. Check the merge fields are pulling correctly in the preview.

Test then send
Select a test client name using the green button, add your mobile number and send a test. Check merge fields, link and tone on your phone. Once happy, press Send.

Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday consistently outperform Mondays and Fridays. Avoid weekends - clients are off-routine and less likely to call and book.

Aim for 10am-12pm or 5pm-7pm. Mid-morning catches people between tasks; early evening catches them post-work when planning the week ahead.

Always test on yourself
Send a test to your own mobile before sending to your list. Check every merge field, the link, and that the message reads naturally on a small screen.

Resist the urge to send to everyone. Smaller, relevant lists get higher response rates and protect your sender reputation with clients.
